Yesterday I had the privilege of seeing Alena Downs of PoleJunkies.com set up & demo the new edition to Platinum Stages repertoire, the "Star Stand Alone".  This bad boy looks to be the "New Kid on the Block!!". Taken from PlatinumStages.com "The New Star Stand Alone Pole ™is completely free standing and the base is only 2 ½ inches thick with the dance surface being 6 feet in diameter.  The dancer will have approximately 8 foot of usable pole. The Star Stand Alone Pole ™ will work anywhere you want a pole, on your boat, the beach or your backyard. It does not require a ceiling. The base of this unit will break down into 8 pieces that will weigh less than 75 lbs totally disassembled and the pole will also break down into 2 pieces and fit conveniently into a portable carrying case with wheels, making it completely portable and removable. The carrying case is included in the price.  It will assemble and disassemble in less than 60 seconds. The New Star Stand Alone Pole ™ will hold 250 lbs but will be very light weight for travel.
