I didn't get through…BUT what fun I had :)

So it’s now Thursday, 2 days after my BGT audition at the Hammersmith Apollo.  Let’s cut to the chase, I didn’t get through!!  BUT what fun I had :)
All in all it was a very long day, from 2pm until I got onto the stage at 10.30pm.  I have to admit, no nerves were present when walking out in front of the thousands of people and the judges, though from the look on Simon & Piers faces they were not amused with the male pole dancer before them!  After a bit of banter ( this just in from my friend Hayley – “The most classic moment was when you mis-quoted Amandas question when she asked you…’You must be one of a few male pole dancers in the country…how does that go down?….to which you responded… ‘sorry Amanda…did you ask how do I go down?’!! PRICELESS….Simon didn’t seem that amused but I thought it was hilarious!! Well done you xxx”)  O DEAR!! and then off went the music.  Though I didn’t really hear the audiences responses as I was concentrating on the music, apparently there was a big cheer when I ripped away the shirt to reveal the Superman logo.

The Good Things:
I finished the routine & Amanda said Yes
The Bad Things:
Both Simon & Piers buzzed (no surprise there !!)
Piers said it was the one act he wouldn’t want to see again lol
Overall, it was a fab experience, interviewed 3 times, met Ant & Dec, and a giggle with them and went and did what I wanted to do !  Am I disappointed?  Not at all!  I think we all knew that only Amanda would be on side, so it really goes to show that only having one female on the panel goes against male pole dancers lol !
Till the next time !
